    Well, we bought a 2018 Atlas new, it had 115,000 miles and VW serviced it regularly. Never once was there an issue with the engine. After our extended warranty ran out, shocker we took it in because of a vibration in the petal. VW stated that we need a new engine that will cost $13,000.00! We were told that they do not make this engine any more because it had so many issues. So, no we are not happy and will never buy another VW.

    Alexis, who checked me in was very nice and informative, and Dalton the service tech was also very nice. I had two things that caused me not to give a 5 star rating. 1. The mileage on the ticket was incorrect. It showed 14,533 coming in but it should have been 14,923. 2. The high pitch wind whistling sound was heard by me and Dalton, the service tech, but the ticket says they heard no unusual wind noises. When I took a test drive with Dalton, I could hear the whistling sound and Dalton saif he thought he could hear it too. It was a bit faint this around (3rd visit to dealership since issue presented itself), but it could still be heard. I gave Dalton the VW tech bulleting number that addressed the same topic, (ts#66-1-01) but he said it did not apply to my year vehicle. If you search online for 2024 VW Atlas wind whistling noise issue you can find quite an extensive listing of the issue with some solutions mentioned. Perhaps we need to get someone else at the dealership, who can better hear a high pitch whistling noise, to ride with me to hear the noise. I am surprised that VW has not come up with a solution to this issue since it is so wide spread and discussed in online blogs, and addressed to some degree in the TS#66-18-01 bulleting from VW. This noise is quite evident between 45-60 mph, especially ona smooth quiet road. For the dealership to ride with me and say they think they can hear the whistle then state it was not heard or not unusual is kid of upsetting.

    I did my homework online and made a decision on the vehicle I wished to purchase.
